Here at roadracingsupporters.com, we
think "pure" road racing is the most exciting and exhilarating sport in the world and
as fans foremost we aim to provide an online home for all those who agree.
Here you can get an insight into road racing from the blogs of established riders and exciting
new talent on the scene, see spectacular images from our
photographers who are on hand to capture the action at meetings throughout the
season and keep up to date with the latest results provided by our
sister site irishroadracers.com.
We have a wealth of
information about all the events held in the British Isles, including
how to get there and where to stay, and have resources and advice
available for photographers at every level. A major part of
our site is our friendly forum where everyone is welcome whether they
have been following road racing for years or are just discovering the
excitement of the sport for the first time.
Each year we produce our fund raising calendar that showcases the work
of our featured photographers and the quality of the images and
diversity of machines, riders and events covered has made this a ‘must
have’ for road racing fans.
Another opportunity to see some
fabulous road racing photography is the ‘Roads Closed’ exhibition, held
during the TT festival in the beautiful setting of St Ninian’s Church, close to the TT Grandstand. Here, over two hundred photos and canvasses are on display and available to buy.
In 2010, the proceeds from the calendar sales and the exhibition raised over £7000 which enabled us to support the Rob Vine Fund, the Southern 100 Club and the Manx Grand Prix Helicopter Fund. Recognising
the financial difficulties that racers face we are also pleased to have
been able to offer a level of sponsorship for several talented riders.
Membership of our site is completely subscription free and offers access to some exclusive content. It
also guarantees you a warm welcome at the ‘Roads Closed’ exhibition and
various other informal gatherings at road racing meetings across the
year. We hope you find our site informative, interesting
and an easy going community of like minded people who are all proud to
be "pure" road racing supporters.
